my prof today said, u shd be able to make out which of the data given is redundant(most of that in his probs is) as well..

Well..We aren't supposed to know everything..But yes, we are supposed to have concepts at our fingertips..That's what he was trying to stress..
Nice quote dude. He does seem to rock from whatever you have written about him. I personally have had the fortuity of experiencing a wonderful prof in IIT (in elec) and know what it feels like.
